Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, from July 16, 2026, to May 22, 2027. This role focuses on supporting students in grades 7 through 12, serving as a resource teacher for up to 35 students. The position is located near Fort Huachuca, AZ.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' unique needs
- Provide resource support to students with disabilities, ensuring access to the general education curriculum
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote student success
- Monitor progress and adapt instructional strategies to optimize learning outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education regulations and policies
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and growth
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle and high school students (grades 7-12)
- Ability to manage and support up to 35 students in a resource setting
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and families
