Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Special Education Teacher is needed to support the LLD program at a school serving students with specific learning disabilities and communication impairments. This full-time, contract role is available immediately and continues through the end of the school year. The teacher will serve as the teacher of record, providing key instructional leadership, implementing IEPs, and collaborating closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to deliver tailored academic and behavioral interventions.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the teacher of record for students with learning disabilities and communication impairments
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and support staff to meet student needs effectively
  • Manage classroom behavior and plan instructional activities that support student learning goals
  • Support compliance with all relevant special education regulations and standards

Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license
  • Experience working with students diagnosed with learning disabilities and/or communication impairments
  • Proficient in IEP development and implementation
  • Strong classroom management and instructional planning skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams

Location:

  • Position is based within the LLD program at a school in Springfield, MA
