Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support high school students with special needs in a dynamic educational environment located in Larkspur, CO. This full-time special education teaching position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year, from August 5, 2026, through May 21, 2027. The role involves working with a caseload of approximately 25 students, delivering tailored instruction to meet their individual learning goals and ensuring compliance with IEPs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for high school students with diverse learning needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to create inclusive learning environments
  • Utilize differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with special education policies
  • Participate in team meetings, professional development, and parent-teacher conferences

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with high school-aged students
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and special education laws
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 25 students effectively

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
