Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the current school year, serving students in grades 2-5. This position requires a dedicated educator with a passion for supporting diverse learners within a school setting. The role is based in Montesano, WA, and operates on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs in grades 2 through 5.
- Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staff.
- Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet varied learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Special Education (SPED) certification is required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably within grades 2-5.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, practices, and instructional strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service providers.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
