Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a specialized educational setting for the 2024-2026 school years. We are seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers who are passionate about making a difference and ready to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours/week) from now through June 5, 2026. Multiple positions are available, each offering unique classroom environments, including roles in elementary developmental, elementary and middle school behavior programs, and elementary/middle school resource classrooms.

Available caseloads feature:

  • Elementary Developmental (15 students, 6 assistants; support for behavior, ASD, and communication needs)
  • Elementary Behavior (Grades 3–5; 16 students, 5 assistants)
  • Middle School Resource (40 students, shared with 2 assistants)
  • Elementary Resource (serving two sites 2 miles apart; 35 students, one assistant at each site)
  • Middle School Behavior (15 students, 5 assistants)

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current Oregon Special Education Teacher certification/license
  • Recent experience in a K-12 special education setting strongly preferred
  • Ability to collaborate with classroom assistants and other school professionals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Reference contact information for your most recent supervisor is required for consideration

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs
  • Work closely with support staff and paraprofessionals
  • Foster an inclusive, safe learning environment for all students
  • Collect and maintain accurate student progress and behavior data
  • Actively participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and parent conferences
