JOB DESCRIPTION:

Thank you for your interest in Skyline Education! We are looking for a certified special education teacher to work with our high school population at Skyline Gila River in Chandler, AZ. Candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our strong Special Education professionals and collaborate with general education teachers in order improve student outcomes and develop educators to reach all students. Our community is small and tight-knit that services the Native American population. Due to our small size, the staff has a unique opportunity to build relationships with our students and families that extend many generations, who pride themselves on dedicating their time and energy to grow connections through support and positive interactions. Skyline Gila River has a small but growing caseload in these grades to which we mostly serve through an itinerant model, pushing into the general education setting, in order to build their independence. Most classrooms also have an interventionist within so students can practice using resources daily. Collaboration and small group instruction will be imperative to provide the necessary specialized instruction for success for both the students and the staff. There may also be an opportunity to work with a few of our middle school students.

Teacher candidate must be certified by the Arizona Department of Education for Special Education, Cross-Categorical or Mild-Moderate disabilities is preferred. Candidate must also have a Fingerprint Clearance card from the State of Arizona. Salary is dependent upon experience and Skyline offers a comprehensive benefits package.
