Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available in Buckeye, AZ, serving students in grades 6-12 within a resource setting. This role supports middle and high school students by delivering tailored instruction in core subjects, managing classroom environments, documenting student progress, and collaborating closely with the special education team to meet individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide special education instruction to students in grades 6-12 in the resource setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Manage classroom behavior and foster an inclusive learning environment
- Accurately document student services, progress, and assessments
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student success
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification covering grades 6-12
- Content Area or Generalist certification for grades 6-12
- Experience working with middle and high school students in special education
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with core middle/high school subjects and special education best practices
- Candidates who have not previously interviewed or applied directly to this placement will be considered
Location: Buckeye, Arizona
Schedule: Full time, with an expected start date as soon as possible through the end of the school year
