Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teaching position is available for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year in a rural school district located in Coyanosa, TX. This opportunity provides the chance to work closely with a small student population of approximately 130 students in a supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Collaborate with aides and other educational staff to support classroom activities and student learning
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional methods as necessary
  • Engage with students, parents, and staff to promote a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
  • Comply with all applicable federal and state special education regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a rural school setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with aides and other staff members
  • Ability to create engaging and differentiated lessons to meet individual student goals
  • Patience and dedication to support students academic and social development

Location:
This role is based in Coyanosa, TX, in a rural district conducive to personalized student attention and community involvement.
