A Special Education Teacher position is available in Manteca, CA, for a contract role supporting a TK-2nd grade ESN Autism classroom. This opportunity is ideal for professionals holding a moderate/severe California teaching credential who are passionate about working with young children with special needs in an educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Moderate/Severe California Special Education Credential (required)
- Experience in special education, preferably with early elementary age groups
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailor instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Job Details:
- Location: Manteca, CA
- Contract position starting ASAP and continuing through the end of the school year (EOSY)
- Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
- Age group: Transitional Kindergarten through 2nd grade in an Autism classroom
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction and support tailored to students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and aides, to implement effective strategies and accommodations
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district policies
