Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This is an onsite-only position with a start date as soon as possible, extending until June 5, 2026. Multiple openings are available across a variety of classroom settings, allowing you to match your expertise with the needs of elementary or middle school students.
Openings include:
- Elementary Developmental classrooms (2 openings): 15 students per class, 6 assistants, focused on behavioral, ASD, and communication needs.
- Elementary Behavior (Grades 3-5): 16 students, 5 assistants, targeted behavior interventions.
- Middle School Resource: Direct support for 40 students, with 2 shared assistants.
- Elementary Resource (covering 2 nearby sites): 35 students, 1 assistant in each building.
- Middle School Behavior: 15 students, 5 assistants.
Desired Experience & Requirements:
- Valid and active Special Education certification or license in Oregon.
- Experience working with students who have behavioral challenges, ASD, and communication needs preferred.
- Proven ability to collaborate with instructional assistants and other educators.
- Effective classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Willingness to provide the contact information for your most recent supervisor for reference purposes.
- Dedication to working exclusively onsite in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in alignment with students’ unique requirements.
- Foster inclusive, supportive learning environments tailored to varied developmental and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education staff, and families to support student success.
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintain open, positive communication with school professionals and student families.
