Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for grades 2 through 5 in Montesano, WA. This onsite contract role involves managing a caseload of approximately 30-35 students, providing specialized instructional support and developing individualized education plans to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with disabilities in grades 2-5.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success.
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of special education services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and instructional strategies.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage and support a caseload of 30-35 students.

Location: Montesano, Washington
Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week
Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 16, 2026
Work Environment: Onsite only

This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive school environment while gaining valuable experience working with elementary-level students in special education.
