Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contracted teaching opportunity is designed for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in an Adapted Curriculum classroom setting. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the school year (June 1).

Location: Rocky Point, NC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction within an Adapted Curriculum classroom.
  • Manage and support a high school caseload of students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with educational staff and therapy professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure achievement of academic and functional goals.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings related to student development.

Qualifications:

  • Valid North Carolina Special Education teaching certification/license.
  • Experience working in special education settings, particularly with high school students.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
