Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a Part-Time (10-12 hours a week )Special Education Teacher at a private school for pull out services to provide exceptional educational support. This role offers a competitive rate of $70 to $75 per hour, based on experience, and provides an opportunity to work with students with diverse learning needs in a flexible and engaging environment.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), supporting student learning, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.

You MUST have MA Special ed teaching licence. In person position only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and adapt lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Implement and monitor IEP goals
  • Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies to promote student success
  • Collaborate with support staff, general educators, and administration
  • Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and any concerns

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Masters's degree in Special Education or a related field;
  • Valid state certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of teaching strategies and behavioral management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student growth
