About Us

The Allied Health Casual Pool provides short term cover to facilities across Hunter New England. All health service sites and facilities that have Speech Pathologists within their team can utilise the casual pool.

Areas that you can choose to work within (you communicate your preference for location on a monthly basis):

  • Greater Newcastle area
  • Hunter Valley Sector
  • Lower mid North Coast (Including Taree and Forster- a holiday destination!)
  • Tamworth (Peel sector)
  • Armidale and Inverell (Tablelands sector)
  • Narrabri and Moree (Mehi sector)

The successful candidate will be provided thorough orientation to each site and service. You will be supported by senior staff responsible for the site/service, as well as being welcomed by the wider team for peer support. Being an employee of HNEHealth will give you access to regular educational opportunities including online learning.

About The Job

  • Gain diverse experience across a wide range of clinical areas within Hunter New England, with opportunities to work in acute, community, paediatric, adult and mental health potentially being available.
  • As a casual, successful candidates will provide clinical cover for facilities and sites, which may be full time or part time blocks of up to 13 weeks at a time.
  • Staff will be matched to available work based on availability, areas of expertise and location preferences.
  • Build your professional network, working as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Clinical supervision/buddying support will be provided by health service sites. Additionally, candidates will have access to online modules through my health learning.
