Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Assisted Living Facility | Oregon

Are you ready to empower older adults to find their voice, confidence, and connection? As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an assisted living setting, you’ll play a vital role in improving the communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities of residents. This position is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive environment where every word counts.

Position Details:

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Patient Load: Approximately 7 patients per day (35 visits per week)
  • Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing functions.
  • Design and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance residents’ quality of life.
  • Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date documentation, revising treatment plans as necessary.
  • Adhere to all professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active SLP license in Oregon.
  • At least two years of clinical experience, preferably with older adults.
  • Strong communication abilities with a focus on patient-centered care.
