Full job description

Duties

  • Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program. Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures.
  • Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments. Assistants with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.
  • Provides outstanding customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Takes action to solve problems quickly and alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.
  • Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
  • Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation
  • Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45Ibs independently and objects over 45Ibs with assistance.
  • Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
  • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service, see www.sss.gov and position, duty hours, location, etc

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED

HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
