Location & Work Arrangement

  • Location: Little Rock, Arkansas
  • Work Arrangement: Onsite (Required 5 days a week).
  • Contract: This is a Contract position available for extensions.
  • Mode of Interview: Either Webcam or Onsite/In-person.
  • Candidate Requirement: Candidate must be local Day 1 to start and continue this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defect Resolution & Stabilization: Troubleshoot and resolve defects in the existing Access front end and SQL Server back end. Ensure daily operational workflows function consistently and accurately, especially for the accounting system.
  • Documentation & Reverse-Engineering: Create comprehensive documentation covering business logic, database relationships, and application workflows to enable reliable internal support. This involves reverse-engineering and maintaining the existing architecture without redesigning it.
  • Technical Migration Focus: Utilize expertise in VBA, SQL, and ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) to debug existing forms, queries, and modules. Translate business logic from macros/modules/queries to SQL.
  • Support & Knowledge Transfer: Provide crucial knowledge transfer to internal Office of Internet Technology (OIT) staff. Coordinate professionally with business stakeholders to clarify issues and confirm successful resolutions.
  • Compliance: Adhere strictly to change control, documentation, and testing processes to maintain compliance with DHS, State, and Federal requirements.
