SQL Server Database Administrator Location: Harrisburg, PA (5 days onsite) - Need to be onsite day one Duration: 1 year Video Interview is okay Job Summary: The SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical MS SQL Server systems. This role ensures the integrity, reliability, and recoverability of data for various in-house developed applications and off-the-shelf software. The position requires strong technical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and participation in rotating on-call duties. Key Responsibilities: Manage SQL Server implementations across development, testing, and production environments. Maintain database servers and processes to ensure high levels of integrity, reliability, and recoverability, while adhering to industry performance and security standards. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in real-time, providing comprehensive problem resolution. Automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems. Perform scheduled maintenance, including the deployment of Cumulative Updates (CUs) and Hotfixes outside regular business hours. Participate in an on-call rotation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. Minimum of one year of IT experience involving database analysis, design, and maintenance. Successful completion of a satisfactory criminal background check Technical Requirements: 8+ years of experience in MS SQL Server administration. Extensive experience with backups, restores, and recovery models. Proficiency in writing T-SQL code. Moderate experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options. Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Experience with MS Dynamics CRM, SharePoint, and TFS SQL Server administration. Experience with Business Intelligence Studio (BIS) for Visual Studio. Windows Server administration experience. VMWare vSphere experience.
