SQL Server Database Administrator / SSRS Developer | Phoenix Hybrid Phoenix, United States | Posted on 06/17/2026 Location: Phoenix, AZ 85003 - Hybrid (approx. 75% onsite, 25% remote) Job Type: Contract, ~2 years (through June 2028) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM About the Role SunSoft Online is seeking an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator / SSRS Report Developer for a long-term (2-year) hybrid contract with an Arizona public-sector agency in Phoenix. This role provides advanced database administration, query development, and reporting support for a mission-critical Records Management System, working closely with IT staff and multiple operational bureaus. What You Will Do Administer and manage SQL Server database permissions for SSRS folder and report access Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for operational and analytical reporting Design, build, test, and deploy SSRS reports, ensuring accuracy, security, and performance Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and validate data outputs Troubleshoot SQL queries, report execution, dataset performance, and data integrity issues Document database changes, data workflows, permissions, and report specifications Ensure data handling aligns with security standards and governance processes Required Qualifications Advanced Microsoft SQL Server experience: T‑SQL, permissions administration, query optimization Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS): report design, deployment, and management Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to accuracy and performance Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders Understanding of data governance, security best practices, and role‑based access control Must be local to the Phoenix area (current city and state on resume) Available for an in‑person interview within 1 week; able to start within 2 weeks of offer Preferred Experience with large, complex datasets in a public‑safety or enterprise environment Familiarity with Premier One RMS Experience supporting environments with strict data‑security/CJIS requirements Note This role supports a public‑safety environment and will require a background check and adherence to strict data‑security protocols. #J-18808-Ljbffr
