Requirements: 3+ Years Experience as Senior Accountant overseeing at least $30+ Mil in Construction Costs
We are a rapidly growing general contractor & civil subcontractor that does well over $150mil in work! We are continuing to expand as we build out our corporate office and are opening new offices in surrounding states. We are looking to bring on another full time senior accountant in our corporate office.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, along with proficiency in Vista and Viewpoint software. This role is essential in managing the financial health of our projects and ensuring accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for construction projects.
- Manage budgeting processes and provide financial forecasts.
- Oversee tax preparation and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate and assist with audit processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Utilize Vista and Viewpoint software to maintain financial records and reports.
- Manage general ledger entries and reconcile accounts.
- Perform cost accounting and analyze variances for project profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategy development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Vista and Viewpoint software is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance practices.
- Experience in tax preparation and auditing processes.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
