Key Responsibilities As the Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of both organizations. Primary responsibilities will include: Accounting Software Management: Develop, update, and train team members on the accounting systems used. Financial Coordination: Coordinate and record all financial information, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Accounts Oversight: Maintain receivables, payables, and accurate financial statements. Cash Flow Reporting: Compile weekly cash flow reports and provide insights to leadership. Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all bank, general ledger, and credit card accounts to maintain accurate financial records. Vendor Payments: Print and manage checks for vendor payments. Tax Filing: Calculate and file monthly sales tax in adherence to regulations. Year-End Processes: Compile year-end financial information for the company accountant. Payroll Management: Maintain payroll systems with accurate and up-to-date employee information, prepare timesheet reports, input payroll into Harpers system and Sage 100C, and oversee direct deposits. Invoicing & Billing: Complete all customer invoicing, work with the President and Project Managers for monthly AIA billing, and ensure final requisitions/breakouts and closeout information are processed and balanced. Remote Check Deposit: Deposit checks remotely to the bank. Software Proficiency: Confidently use Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
