ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 10+ years of experience in automated controls systems for industrial manufacturing equipmentParticipate in design development and design reviews at all levels; proposal, standards, projectAnalyze customer requirements and translate requirements into an Automated SolutionManage technical solutions to minimize costs while meeting customer requirements as well as long term reliabilityCoordinate with other departments as necessary to satisfy project requirementsWork with the broader organization to drive continuous improvement in job process and optimization of build costsProvide industry-specific application knowledge and direction to team membersDevelop project requirements and design specificationsPerform detailed system design, programming, implementation, and full testing of the automated solutionPLC logic, servo motion, and HMI development utilizing applicable software (A-B)Design and Test of Hardwired and Digital Safety circuitsParticipate in system startup activitiesDiagnose problems with pneumatic and mechanical systems interfacing with electrical & electronic systemsDevelop tools and integration strategies to increase effectiveness and lower costInvestigate and suggest architecture and technology enhancementsFollow and improve upon internal processes and controls design standardsAble to travel within the US (10% or less) and rarely internationally Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive, with internal and external customers and coworkers.
