HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW

The Sr. Export Compliance Specialist assists the Empowered Official (EO) in developing, implementing, and managing export and import compliance programs in accordance with U.S. trade regulations and corporate policy. This role supports daily export/import operations, licensing activities, investigations, and training initiatives while partnering cross-functionally to maintain compliance and support international business growth

This is an in-office position based near Londonderry, NH.

EXPECTATIONS

  • Prepare shipment documents with accurate HTS/ECCN classification, country of origin, valuation
  • Manage export license applications, collaborating with global trade team for review and approval
  • Conduct audits & support investigations and disclosures of potential export or import violations
  • Identify and escalation violations to Empowered Official, global trade team and legal counsel
  • Develop and deliver trade compliance training consistent with corporate policies
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and customs brokers regarding export and import clearances
  • Ensure controlled technical data exports/deemed exports are properly authorized
  • Implement site visitor process for non-U.S. Persons
  • Stay current on changes in regulations and industry best practices

ESSENTIALS

  • 9+ years' experience in export and import compliance, defense and aerospace industry a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • In depth understanding of ITAR, EAR and import regulations
  • Experience as an Empowered Official
  • Working knowledge with OCR EASE
  • Experience supporting audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries
  • Strong data analytic skills with attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborating with others
