Job Description HII – Mission Technologies is looking for a Senior Information Technology Specialist – NETWORK – a “Cisco Network Engineer” with experience designing, installing, and maintaining advanced router and firewall configurations. This role will be at Wright Patterson AFB. The individual will: Support all aspects of AFLCMC/WB IT systems management to include planning, design, acquisition, installation and set‑up, testing, accreditation, fielding, support, and disposition of IT equipment, components, and software. Install and configure Linux operating systems in a mixed Linux/Windows environment. Develop standardized procedures for account establishment, system maintenance, and system recovery. Implement maintenance and upgrade procedures to minimize disruption of normal business functions of the organization within the installation. Develop network SOPs and implement audits, threat and vulnerability assessments, and use security‑related software tools to manage classified information systems. Manage the configuration of classified information systems. Essential Job Responsibilities Plan, schedule, coordinate, install, update, and accomplish day‑to‑day administration for software and hardware on multiple classified networks. Manage IT network equipment to include switches, routers, and both basic and advanced firewall configurations. Configure and troubleshoot Video Teleconferencing and Voice‑over‑IP telephone systems. Support analysis and testing to ensure compatibility of equipment and software additions and upgrades with existing infrastructure. Optimize function and performance of network hardware and software to ensure IT system availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability. Troubleshoot, identify network problems and develop, coordinate, and implement corrective actions. Support tracking of network equipment and software obsolescence and help analyze and prepare trades for future maintenance and replacement in support of IT budget planning. Provide help desk support for all IT networks and communications systems for on‑site and off‑site personnel. Support IT system backup, data restoration, and disaster recovery. Support basic maintenance for printers, scanners, monitors, and Keyboard Video Monitor (KVM) switches. Support preparation of required network cyber (IA) documentation. Support all tasks associated with IT operations and maintenance associated with network‑centric and global grid interoperability requirements, Clinger‑Cohen reporting requirements, and other IT certification processes. Support self‑assessments using the MICT. Minimum Qualifications 4 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 3 years of relevant experience and a Master’s degree; 0 years of relevant experience and a PhD or Juris Doctor; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience maintaining IT systems. Must have DoD 8570 Information Assurance Management Level II certification, or equivalent. Four years of classified information systems experience working on DoD ACAT I, ACAT II, or ACAT Other programs. Experience with multi‑level secure networks and automated cross‑domain security solutions. Knowledge of, and experience implementing, DoD and Air Force technology regulations, services, and instructions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Cisco and Palo Alto Networks experience includes: Configuring routers 802.1x Firewalls BGP OSPF GRE Cisco Unified Communications Manager TS/SCI clearance.
