Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Sr. IT Technician to work in our offices in Crystal River, Florida. The Senior IT Technician is responsible for providing hands‑on technical support for all IT systems supporting manufacturing operations at the Crystal River facility. This role ensures high availability of plant‑floor technology, supports end users and operational systems, and acts as the primary IT liaison between factory operations and corporate IT. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, familiarity with manufacturing environments, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, uptime‑critical setting. Key Responsibilities: Manufacturing & Plant Support: Provide on‑site IT support for factory floor systems, including workstations, scanners, printers, labelers, HMIs, and industrial PCs. Support operational technology (OT) interfaces in coordination with engineering and automation teams (e.g., PLC‑connected systems, MES terminals, data collection devices). Ensure production systems uptime by responding quickly to incidents and performing root cause analysis. Support shift‑based operations and respond to critical after‑hours issues as required. End‑User & Desktop Support: Provide Tier 1/2 support for Windows‑based PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and security updates. Manage user access, password resets, and permissions in O365. Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (wired, wireless, VLANs). Infrastructure & Systems Support: Assist with local network infrastructure (switches, cabling, access points, patch panels). Coordinate with corporate IT for server, ERP, and cloud‑based application issues. Support backup processes and disaster recovery procedures at the site level. Monitor system health and escalation issues when necessary. Security & Compliance: Enforce IT security policies and procedures within the manufacturing environment. Assist with audits, asset management, and compliance requirements (ISO, SOC, or similar). Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks related to factory systems and endpoints. Vendor & Project Coordination: Coordinate with third‑party vendors for hardware repairs, cabling, and specialized systems. Support local IT projects such as equipment upgrades, system rollouts, and plant expansions. Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, and site‑specific configurations. Required Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3+ years of hands‑on IT support experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft O365. Experience supporting networked devices and basic network troubleshooting. Ability to work independently and prioritize issues in an uptime‑critical environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft O365 tools and software including experience using and administering Entra, Intune and Mail. Experience supporting OT/IT environments (manufacturing systems, PLC‑adjacent equipment). Knowledge of industrial networking, barcode/RFID systems, and label printing solutions. Experience working in regulated or audited environments. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to work on‑site in a factory environment (noise, temperature variation, PPE requirements). Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand, walk, and respond quickly to production floor issues.
