Dispatcher PositionGlobal Expedited Transportation Freight Corp is an Atlanta, GA-based company that is expanding to Oakland, CA. Our Oakland branch is looking to hire a dispatcher who is expecting competitive earnings per week, working Monday to Friday. On-site Emeryville, CA.Responsibilities:Daily plans, directs, and controls driver scheduling, allocation, and dispatching.Monitor daily delivery activities & resolve issues if faced.Assist Central Dispatcher with the displacement of freight and drivers.Responsible for driver settlements.Ensure daily tasks from each staff in a team are being done correctly as expectedManage service quality by proactively minimizing failuresUpdate the system properly for internal sharing and external notification with accurate infoClear and proactive communication with employees, drivers, customers, and upper managementRecognize issues to resolve, prevent or report timely and put proper action on itPreserve, protect and enhance people with close communication and relationship building.Conduct safety training for driversEnsure FMCSA complianceSkills and abilities:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Effective leadership skills.Ability to build strong customer relationships.Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, workgroups, customers, supervisors)Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.Must be accustomed to busy phones.Demonstrates time management and priority-setting skills.Ability to adjust priorities.Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Requirements:Preferred more than 3 years dispatching experiences.Bilingual Spanish/English or Korean/English preferred, not must.Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.Previous experience in the transportation industry preferred.Must be able to lead others.Must possess exceptional communication skills.Job type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork location: In person
