Overview CGI Federal is looking for a Sr. Storage Administrator to support the Army PL ALTESS contract. ALTESS provides IT services and support across data centers and commercial clouds, modernizing IT systems by migrating to the cloud and managing mission-critical applications to ensure Army readiness. ALTESS oversees IT service delivery across hosting locations as part of DoD digital transformation strategies. This position is located in Radford, VA. Responsibilities Serve as a Senior Storage Administrator for a mixed and growing environment of various storage hardware. Collaborate with the existing OS and Storage teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers and storage systems for ALTESS and its customers. Assist with implementing new system hardware and software; provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies as needed. Monitor ongoing operation of systems and provide utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and take corrective actions. Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies in the current environment. Qualifications Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role CompTIA Security+. Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) – can be waived for 30 days after project join date. Active DoD Secret Security Clearance. Experience in Computer Science or IT. Three or more years' experience in design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems. Three or more years' experience maintaining storage and network policies and standards. Three or more years' experience refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of the application development staff. Three or more years' experience creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution. Three or more years' experience with MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments. Three or more years' experience administering applicable storage networks. Three or more years' experience with VMware 7.x or greater. Three or more years' experience with network communication (IP based). Installation and configuration experience of backup software with Windows Server 2019, Solaris 11, RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher. Experience with both Windows PowerShell and Bash shell scripting. Strong CLI skills. Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player. Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent years of experience. Three or more years' experience supporting Cybersecurity patch management and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), SRG, RMF, SCA-V, and Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA). Compensation and Benefits CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The range depends on factors including skill set, level, experience, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $113,400.00 - $198,400.00 .
