Senior Systems Administrator

We're looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to join a large-scale government IT operation supporting multiple agency tenants. You'll own the configuration, maintenance, and operation of complex server and compute environments, with a heavy focus on virtualized infrastructure, data center operations, and keeping mission-critical services running in a demanding 24/7 environment.

Compensation: 140k salary midpoint, flex depending on experience

Logistics: On-site, 5 days/week. Quantico, VA.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Operating and supporting enterprise computer systems and peripherals serving multiple government agency tenants
• Managing virtualized environments including SANs, NAS devices, hyperconverged infrastructure, and desktop services
• Leading and participating in OS and systems software planning, implementation, and production support
• Interfacing with both contractor and government personnel, as well as hardware and software vendors
• Producing technical documentation and graphical presentations of system information
• Responding to outages and driving prompt resolution to minimize service disruption

And what you need to have:

• Fully adjudicated Secret clearance; must be eligible for Top Secret
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Information Management, or Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• One of the following Certifications: VMware VCP, Microsoft AZ-800 + AZ-801, or previously held MCSE
• DoD 8570 IAT-II or IAM-II compliance (Security+ minimum)
• 10+ years of progressive experience operating enterprise computer systems
• 3+ years in a 24/7 military or government IT environment
• Hands-on experience with VMware, hyperconverged infrastructure, and backup/recovery platforms
• Prior experience in an engineering data center environment
• Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory Domain Services, DoD PKI, and Group Policy
