Technical Project Manager (TPM) 4Compa Industries is searching for qualified Technical Project Manager (TPM) 4 candidates to support our client at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL).Salary: $108-$115/hrLocation: Remote or LANL (Hybrid flexibility based on project needs)Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship RequiredWork Schedule: 4/10s (aligned with field installation schedule)Clearance: Q Clearance (ability to obtain required; not required to start) Mandatory Experience Requirement – Read Before ApplyingCandidates must have experience managing project activities in DOE, NRC, or NNSA Hazard Category 2 facilities.Candidates must have extensive DOE nuclear project experience (minimum ~12 years or equivalent).Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance and work in a nuclear facility environment.Applications missing these requirements will not be considered.ImpactThe Technical Project Manager (TPM) 4 is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering complex, high-visibility projects within a DOE Hazard Category 2 and Security Classification 1 nuclear facility.This role directly supports national security missions by ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOE and NNSA requirements. The TPM 4 drives project success through leadership of scope, cost, schedule, and risk, while guiding cross-functional teams through complex technical and regulatory environments.Responsibilities and DutiesLead and manage technical project scope from initiation through turnoverDefine and oversee project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risk management strategiesLead project teams in planning, tracking, and execution of work scopeEnsure alignment with Triad prime contract and NNSA requirementsManage control accounts and associated work packages to meet programmatic objectivesProvide day-to-day administrative and operational management within assigned program areasDevelop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and standardsAssist in development and monitoring of program budgetsProvide technical guidance to project teams, support organizations, and matrixed resourcesCoordinate across engineering, construction, testing, and operational teamsSupport execution in nuclear environments requiring strict adherence to safety and quality standardsMinimum QualificationsExperience managing projects in DOE, NRC, or NNSA Hazard Category 2 facilitiesMinimum 12 years of DOE nuclear project experience or equivalentExperience managing project scope, cost, schedule, and riskAbility to obtain and maintain Q ClearanceExperience leading complex technical projects in regulated environmentsAbility to support hybrid/remote work with travel as neededWillingness to work adjusted schedules and overtime as requiredDesired SkillsExperience with D&D, construction, testing, and turnover in nuclear environmentsExperience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Control Account Manager responsibilitiesExperience working under DOE O 413.3B requirements, including:Critical Decisions (CDs)Technical Independent Project Review (TIPR)Independent Cost Estimate (ICE)External Independent Review (EIR)Annual Project Review (APR)Experience with work control, hazard management, and radiological operationsKnowledge of NQA-1 quality assurance programsExperience resolving complex technical and regulatory issues (e.g., Commercial Grade Dedication, Issues Management)Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree with minimum 12 years of related DOE nuclear experience,OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experiencePreferred Certifications:EVMS (Humphreys & Associates or equivalent)Control Account Manager (or equivalent)Why Work at COMPA Industries?We strive to provide careers, not just jobs, for our employees.
