We are seeking applicants for a Senior Accounting Analyst with a great organization in High Point. The Sr Accounting Analyst supports the financial operations of the department, ensuring accurate billing, effective customer service, and timely account resolution. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment. Experience in higher education is highly preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with managing the collections process for overdue accounts; track trends, identify risks, and help implement process improvements to protect university revenue.
- Analyze accounts, identify errors or inconsistencies, and determine appropriate corrective measures according to established guidelines.
- Monitor delinquent accounts, issue due-diligence notifications, and coordinate with external collection agencies as needed.
- Maintain thorough account documentation to support collection activity
- Partner with the Associate VP to identify and implement opportunities for business process improvements involving systems, workflows, or operational practices.
- Assist with annual preparation, reporting, and distribution of 1098-T tax documents.
- Perform daily billing functions, including tuition adjustments, housing changes, and charge reviews; correct errors as needed to ensure accurate student billing.
- Support the weekly refund process by reviewing accounts for eligibility, ensuring accuracy, and confirming adherence to university policies as well as federal and state regulations.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred
- Working knowledge of higher education administrative or financial systems.
- Ability to use reporting and data-analysis software effectively.
- Flexibility to manage shifting priorities and execute multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
