Senior Accounting Specialist (Willmar, MN)To save time applying, Hormel Foods does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas for this position at this time.Relocation is not eligible for this role.Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.Hybrid Work Schedule: Work in office Monday - Thursday and flexible location on Friday.Responsibilities:The person in this position:Provides vacation relief for all inventory-related activities, balancing system inventories with warehouses, payables, and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure proper asset accountability and valuation at company warehouses and 3rd party warehouses.Performs general ledger balancing and reconciliation of various account activities.Provides reporting on inventory and general ledger activities.Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and other fiscal period close duties.Prepares and posts journal vouchers for various expense accruals and reclasses.Performs other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:Required:One year post high school education in accounting or equivalent experienceExperience with computers and ability to learn and use custom computer programsDemonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookDemonstrated strong organizational skillsDemonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated attention to detailWell-developed communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred:Oracle Cloud experienceFamiliarity with accounting practicesAt Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
