Responsibilities:
- Apply experience in analog and power conversion circuits to conceptualize, design and develop power supply systems.
- Responsible for leading or participating on teams that design power supplies for commercial, military and space products that operate in very harsh environments.
- Use analytical skills to perform power architecture trade studies, simulations, worst-case analysis, and generate design artifacts per hardware design process.
- Interact with customers, Chief Engineers and Systems engineers to define power requirements and leverage circuit design reuse.
- Support proposals and quotation efforts for analog and power supply developments.
- By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, influence electrical design directions and methodology developments.
- Leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers.Qualifications
MUST HAVE:
- Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's* degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 8 years of experience in power supply design.
- Must have 7 years of experience with the following: experience in power supply design for aerospace products; extensive experience with design capture tools (Siemens/Mentor DxDesigner and Expedition); expertise in AC/DC and DC/DC power converter topologies and power architectures; proficiency in circuit simulation and analytics tools like LTSpice, PSpice, TINA-TI or similar; hands on experience troubleshooting analog and/or power supply circuits; analog and power circuit worst-case analysis; magnetics design experience.
- Must have 5 years of experience with the following: project management skills including managing budget, schedule, and scope; experience leading individuals and technical teams through the design process; and experience mentoring junior level engineers.
- Up to 5% domestic travel required.
- *Employer will accept 2 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
