Role: Sr. Android Developer

Location: The Woodlands, TX (Onsite)

Duration: Contract To Hire

Client: Entergy

Description: This role requires a hands-on developer with a strong background in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architecture frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design and develop advanced Android applications that integrate with Entergy's backend systems and APIs.

Translate complex business and user requirements into scalable mobile solutions.

Work closely with designers, product owners, and QA teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Implement modern Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture) for maintainable codebases.

Optimize mobile app performance, ensure offline capabilities, and manage secure data handling.

Integrate CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline app delivery.

Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and cross-platform architectural planning.

Support app releases on the Google Play Store and manage versioning and deployment cycles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.

7+ years of Android development experience, with deep proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and modern Android libraries (Room, Retrofit, Dagger/Hilt).

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and asynchronous programming.

Knowledge of mobile security, authentication, and enterprise compliance frameworks.

Experience with cloud backends (Azure, AWS) and DevOps tools preferred.

Excellent analytical and collaboration skills in large enterprise settings.
