Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  • Work with Marketing, Customers, Design team during product definition and development phase
  • Augment design team during product development and release
  • Create Marketing collateral and Datasheets and app notes for new products
  • Support customers directly during bring up of their radio boards
  • Test, tune and troubleshoot customer radio boards to optimize performance of Skyworks parts
  • Test, tune RF Power Amplifiers, LNAs and filters on customer boards
  • Responsible for creating and documenting reference designs using partner SOC and Skyworks FEMs.
  • Support Applications using Skyworks switches and GNSS LNA's.
  • Strong background in software used in controlling SoC's and SiP's.
  • Use Layout and Schematic Tools such as Mentor, Allegro and OrCAD.
  • Run simulations with ADS.
  • Perform lab testing using Network analyzers, Spectrum analyzers, Signal generators and other RF equipment.
  • Work with quality teams to support failure analysis
  • Occasional travel to provide on-site support for customers to achieve successful design-wins.
Job Requirements
  • BSEE with min 10 years' experience in RF components and/or Systems engineering
  • Excellent communication skills and experience with interfacing directly with customers
  • Experience in wireless handset LTE or IoT RF systems with focus on Front End
  • Measure radio boards for transmit and receive performance to FCC, ETSI, 3GPP standards
  • Use radio software to control entire front end for bringing up reference designs
  • Familiar with RF PCB design
  • Must have a strong theoretical background in fundamental RF and systems design

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $124,400 - $235,700 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
