Role Overview McKesson's Macro Helix division seeks a Senior Associate Software Engineer to develop and maintain state‑of‑the‑art solutions using the latest technologies. Responsibilities include software application development, design, programming, debugging, testing, and documentation. The engineer will ensure system improvements increase efficiency and will collaborate with QA, Product Owners, and the team throughout the Agile development cycle.
Key Responsibilities Analyze existing software and develop secure solutions.
Develop, test, implement, and maintain applications.
Work closely with QA and Product Owners throughout the development cycle.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies: Daily Stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Refinement, Retrospectives, and Demos.
Present work to product owners and stakeholders.
Document and demonstrate solutions through documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and clear code.
Design system specifications, standards, and programming for solution deployment.
Continually update knowledge by studying state‑of‑the‑art development tools and techniques.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications:
4+ year degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
At least 2+ years of relevant experience.
Core Technical Skills Web and software development (minimum 2 years).
Full‑cycle software development using Visual Studio 2012 or higher.
Languages: C#, JavaScript, SQL, HTML (minimum 2 years).
SQL Server 2012 or higher (minimum 2 years).
ASP.NET, AngularJS, Material Design, CSS (minimum 2 years).
Functional programming and API development/management.
Source code management with GitHub and Bitbucket.
Agile methodology.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PaaS development with Azure Cloud.
Work Arrangement This position offers a hybrid work arrangement. If located in the DFW area, the selected candidate may be expected to work on‑site at the Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with remaining days worked remotely.
Compensation Base pay range: $86,600 – $144,400. Additional compensation may include an annual bonus and/or long‑term incentive opportunities.
