Summary:
-
Fabricating wire harnesses, installing, terminating, ringing out, and assisting in the functional testing of avionics/electrical systems.
-
Provide work direction to technicians and ensure tasks are completed within the allotted time frame.
-
Coordinate with and assist other departments to ensure the on-time delivery of aircraft.
-
Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment according to blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

Train team members on associated work assignments.
-
Utilize specialized skills to contribute to the development of employees and techniques.
-
Complete work in innovative and effective ways.
-
Assist Engineering in resolving issues and making repairs as directed.
-
Maintain required logs and records.
-
Ensure that all work meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

Enforce the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.

Review all work, including that of team members, to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by the supervisor.

Coordinate shift changes in the team leader's absence.

Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events).

Assist and fill in for the team coordinator as required.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, or four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Possess a working knowledge of the Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and relevant Process Specifications.

Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new tasks with minimal short-term impact on established goal hours and schedules.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Computer keyboard skills are necessary.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
