Details:

  • 12-month contract with opportunities for extension

  • 1st shift

Summary:

  • Fabricating wire harnesses, installing, terminating, ringing out, and assisting in the functional testing of avionics/electrical systems.

  • Provide work direction to technicians and ensure tasks are completed within the allotted time frame.

  • Coordinate with and assist other departments to ensure the on-time delivery of aircraft.

  • Install, modify, and fabricate wiring and electrical components, fixtures, and associated equipment according to blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.

  • Train team members on associated work assignments.

  • Utilize specialized skills to contribute to the development of employees and techniques.

  • Complete work in innovative and effective ways.

  • Assist Engineering in resolving issues and making repairs as directed.

  • Maintain required logs and records.

  • Ensure that all work meets applicable regulatory requirements and customer specifications.

  • Enforce the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.

  • Review all work, including that of team members, to ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.

  • Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Coordinate shift changes in the team leader's absence.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events).

  • Assist and fill in for the team coordinator as required.

Required Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related work experience, or four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electronic career field.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

  • Possess a working knowledge of the Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and relevant Process Specifications.

  • Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new tasks with minimal short-term impact on established goal hours and schedules.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Computer keyboard skills are necessary.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
