Job Title: Sr Cloud Engineer
Duration: 12 month contract with potential for extension

Location: Santa Monica, CA(only local)

Job Description:

• We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support preliminary migration efforts from GCP to Azure.
• Looking for a strong communicator who is comfortable working with a variety of non-technical business units and who can translate business needs into requirements.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Work with other engineers to identify opportunities to move data and/or workloads from GCP to Azure and collaborate with related engineering teams for additional migration efforts
• Create detailed plans for migrating data and/or workloads from GCP to Azure, as work hands-on with migration and implementation tasks
• Be passionate about working with and mentoring junior engineers

Requirements:

• 5 years of demonstrated ability working with leading public clouds
• 3 years of experience working with Azure

• Experience in migrating production systems from one public cloud to another (preferably GCP to Azure)

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD (preferably using GitHub Actions)
• Experience with ArgoCD, Terraform, Atlantis, and/or Vault
• Great interpersonal skills and a consistent record to work in a collaborative team environment
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
