Sr. Construction Manager, Data Center Construction Join to apply for the Sr. Construction Manager, Data Center Construction role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) . Description AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we're looking for talented people to help. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and more. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security, while providing extensive capacity at low cost. We foster an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers ownership. As our Data Center Construction Manager, you will be part of a creative team constructing Amazon Data Centers, known for energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include: Managing project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for new builds or capital projects. Overseeing construction activities and project management. Collaborating with teams such as Operations, Networking, Security, and more. Representing Amazon’s interests on construction sites daily. Managing relationships with general contractors and vendors, including negotiations, bid evaluations, and overseeing construction phases. Handling project documentation, RFIs, change orders, and quality control. Supporting commissioning, testing, and operations of facilities. Reporting on project progress and metrics, and contributing to construction improvements. About The Team Amazon values diverse experiences. Preferred Qualifications: MS in relevant fields, 10+ years in large-scale construction, project and vendor management experience, knowledge of data center systems, and professional certifications (PE, LEED, CCM).
