Job Description

Sr. Data Analyst:

The Select Group is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for one of our top Telecommunications clients. This is a long-term contract located in Denver, CO (Hybrid).

Sr. Data Analyst Requirements:

• 10+ years of data analysis and reporting experience
• History of working in complex data analytics projects using data from various applications and warehouses
• Demonstrated ability to understand the data and the applications/processes that generate this data by iteratively hypothesizing and either proving or disproving the same while building an overall understanding of the dataset and the process flow
• Strong SQL skills and experience with data integration and ETL processes
• Extensive experience building self-serve dashboards using Tableau and data analysis using Excel
• Self-starter who enjoys problem-solving with little direct supervision. Ability to learn quickly with a high tolerance for ambiguity and complexity
• Strong communication, verbal and written with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience working with call, case, and order data from sources such as Salesforce, Remedy, NICE, IVR etc.
• Experience using Python for data analysis and predictive analytics

Sr. Data Analyst Responsibilities:

• Work with stakeholders across the organization to identify data needs and identify and/or develop self-serve dashboards that meet stakeholder needs
• Research, hypothesize, test and validate, establish the link between and within data from various sources, and leverage that understanding to answer business questions
• Write complex SQL queries that utilize multiple tables and generate the output that can be leveraged in reports
• Develop and maintain automated processes using Python that streamline data analysis and reporting
• Use data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data sets
• Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation and testing
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and identify opportunities to improve existing processes
• Document reporting requirements and processes
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis
