As a Data Analyst within PNC's Enterprise Data Provisioning (EDP) organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH or Charlotte, NC. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the managers discretion.

As a Data Analyst Sr, you will collaborate with other cross-functional teams and their downstream data consumers in the design of proof of concept (POC) data examples ensuring understanding and agreement prior to obtaining customer approval for warehouse changes. In this role, you will focus on supporting medium and large-scale priority corporate initiatives. You will be responsible for collecting new data requirements, perform analysis, data mining and mapping to support various business strategies. Additionally, you will be required to demonstrate an aptitude in writing coherent SQL in any of the major relational databases.

Due to the nature of this position, we are seeking candidates who possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, model and interpret data. Preferred candidates will have experience in analytics, programming languages (SQL) and warehouse consumption. Candidates should be adept in presenting complex concepts and communicating technical content to general audiences, designing and documenting technical requirements as well as possess the ability to effectively manage and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.

Technical skillsets required to be successful in this role include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to create and troubleshoot SQL
  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Hive and Impala
  • Working experience with Python
  • Data warehousing concepts and applications
  • Documentation of data requirements
  • Knowledge and experience in creating BI solutions
  • Perform data analysis for downstream demand
  • Self-motivated individual able to work with little supervision
