Sr. Data Engineer - 61309

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of Sr. Data Engineer to work in Lake Buena Vista, FL on Hybrid basis.

Pay Rate: $80-$84/hr

MUST HAVES (TOP 3):

• 4-5 years of exp. with Snowflake Data Warehousing
• Python and SQL (prefer in Snowflake)
• Large scale ETL exp. (Teradata, Oracle)
• Managing code through GitLab or GitHub

NICE TO HAVES (OR WHAT GETS THE WIN):

• Airflow
• Databricks
• API Development
• AWS

What is the scope of work that is being completed?

o DX Tech is data modernizing. Current Snowflake environment hasn't changed in last 15 years (automation, pipeline, transformation). Initiative to restructure and modernize where they put data for project. Focused on transition from Legacy Snowflake to Medallion/Helix/Silver Layer of Snowflake. Write and manage (mapping docs, schema tables aren't always 1 to 1).

What part of the project is this resource supporting?

Day to day responsibilities:

Requirements are defined and mapping for columns. Will determine what they need. Going through and looking what has been delivered at future state. See how much data is there based off the structure. See if they can map as best as possible. Look at existing query and see how much they can use in existing layer. Columns, aggregation, this is how it lines up.
