Job Title : Sr. Digital Design Engineer (Avionics & FPGA/SoC Specialist)

Job Type : W2

Experience : 6-10 Years

Location : Grand Rapids, Michigan


Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience in digital design, particularly in the aerospace or defense sectors.
  • Strong expertise in circuit design, FPGA assemblies, and System-on-Chip (SoC) components.
  • In-depth knowledge of hardware design best practices, electronics manufacturing, and market competition factors.
  • Experience conducting architectural trade studies, design reviews, and proposals.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to apply technical expertise to complex hardware issues.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to lead small projects.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex information and build consensus.
  • Experience working with avionics hardware architectures and components.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements for aerospace hardware.
  • Lead and conducted board-level circuit design, integration, verification, and documentation of advanced aerospace processors and FPGA assemblies.
  • Architect moderately complex avionics computer hardware systems, including both digital and analog components.
  • Maintain specialized knowledge of semiconductor processors, System-on-Chip, and FPGA component architectures.
  • Apply hardware design best practices and ensure seamless integration with electronics manufacturing.
  • Participate in hardware design architectural trade studies, reviews, and proposals.
  • Utilize technical experience and data analysis skills to support recommendations and solve moderately complex hardware design and manufacturing problems.
  • Provide mentorship and act as a resource for less experienced colleagues, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements.
  • Develop persuasion skills to influence others on specialized topics within the field.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
