SR. ELECTRICAL TEST TECHNICIAN - NETA II, III, IV - URGENT NEEDS NATIONWIDE!!! This role involves performing testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage substation equipment to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical power systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical testing and maintenance, as well as extensive knowledge of industry standards, including NETA, IEEE, and NFPA. Duties and Responsibilities Perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear, including (but not limited to) the following: Protective relaying and relaying systems Circuit Breakers Power Transformers Current and Potential Transformers Qualifications AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in the high voltage industry; Military background preferred Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in the high voltage industry NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) required Skills: Power DB knowledge a plus Broad knowledge of electrical AC/DC fundamentals Broad knowledge of the major components of a substation Broad knowledge of control and protection systems Knowledge of high-voltage electric field theory Broad knowledge of electrical code and standards (NEC, NESC, and applicable IEEE and ANSI) Broad knowledge of civil / structural codes and standards (NESC, and applicable IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI) Broad knowledge of the function of major electrical equipment Broad knowledge of ground grid theory and design Please respond and get back to Mike Hopkins at for full details about this company and position, as well as several others.
