Sr Systems Engineer
This position has the following essential responsibilities:
Manage the Systems Engineering Lifecycle for IMA and Federated computing products/technologies.
Develop and execute systems development and verification plans in accordance with GE Aviation processes.
Assist Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Business Leaders in new pursuits.
Develop architecture and trade studies as needed to comply with customer requirements.
Cross train Systems Engineers in the systems engineering process.
Drive and support engineering reuse within the Computing Systems product line.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the teams running projects within the product line. This includes supporting project planning, conducting reviews, metrics development/tracking, forecasting, development processes, and risk and opportunity management.
Ensure timely delivery of systems requirements, integrated validation/verification activities, and issue resolution.
Support the startup of new projects to insure they are well planned in accordance with the product roadmap, the overall product line strategy and engineering process requirements.
Lead/manage interdisciplinary collaboration with software, hardware, test, safety, maintainability, reliability and certification teams.
Escalate issues that need additional engineering or business leadership assistance in a timely manner.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering.
Takes new perspective on existing solutions.
Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations.

Senior/lead Avionics Design Engineer
Software Advanced Led Engineer
- The Lead Systems Engineer is responsible for leading a team through all parts of the systems engineering lifecycle throughout the development of Flight Data Recorders
- In this position you will develop system architectures, requirements, interfaces, integration , and testing of complex hardware/software for aviation-based systems
- The Lead Systems Engineer will demonstrate Systems Engineering domain expertise and skills related to embedded software and hardware development throughout the entire Systems development lifecycle
- You will be responsible for developing systems architecture, requirements, systems design, verification and validation, while satisfying FAA regulatory requirements like DO-178C (level D)
- You will provide technical guidance to other personnel and lead the Systems Engineering scope for development projects
- Maintain expert level of product knowledge and application
- Articulate architectural technology and product positioning business, managers and technical staff
- Provide design and specification development support to consultants, integrators, and distributors
- Collaborate with the development teams to establish solution architectures for our product suite and the needs of our customers
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
- Support Sales activities with technical presentations, requirements definition, and architecture for proposals
- Listen to, understand and convey customer requirements

Roles and Responsibilities
Lead execution of multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Technology Introduction (NTI) projects.
Organizes, motivates, and guides cross functional engineering teams towards completion of project goals within constraints given.
Defines the engineering scope statement and work breakdown structure for the project in collaboration with the program manager (PM) and project stakeholders.
Forecast resource requirements for project execution and delivery.
Engages with functional organizations to ensure project is adequately resourced.
Manage and report on technical performance, project budget, schedule, scope, and risk.
Build relationships with support functions across the matrix organization to achieve results.
Manage and coordinate internal- or external- driven scope change requests.
Support engineering response effort for customer and internal B&P requests.
Recommend creative approaches to meet the technical and project requirements.
Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved.
Provide support to the PM in all engineering aspects of external customer interaction, including change liability and cost negotiation, scope, and schedule negotiation.
Drives pro-active risk mitigation activities to minimize project impacts.
Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.
Assure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
Lead the project in key stakeholder reviews, including internal program or business reviews, and external customer reviews.
Streamline engineering processes to cost effectively execute advanced product
Avionics Manufacturing Engineering
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing production processes to ensure cost effective and safe assembly, test, and inspection of avionics products
- Assess, address, and validate tool and equipment needs to facilitate safe, timely, and cost-effective production
- Coordinate design, procurement and implementation of tooling and support equipment, executing to established budgets and timelines
- Communicates with direct team, supervisor, engineers, and other management
- Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research
- Establishes and successfully executes approved new technology, continuous improvement, and cost-out projects
- Drive productivity and product quality improvements via process changes
- Participate in bid & proposal activity, including development of non-recurring engineering and recurring product cost estimates

Sr Engineering Project manager
- The Engineering Project Manager holds responsibility for overseeing every facet of engineering project execution throughout the development stage of the program lifecycle
- This encompasses managing scope, schedule, cost, technical aspects, risk, and quality, with support from Technical Leads (TLs) and Individual Contributors as needed
- Hybrid 3 days / week on-site (Tues-Thurs)
- Generating Program Demand : The individual is responsible for creating demand for the program, which involves understanding market needs, aligning engineering capabilities, and working closely with technical managers
- Leading Integrated Product Development Team : This involves coordinating the efforts of different team members from various disciplines to ensure cohesive project progression and meeting project objectives
