Sr Full Stack Software Engineer

Hyatt is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Global Digital & Technology organization supporting innovative guest-facing and enterprise platforms. This role will focus on designing, developing, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and UX teams within a fast-paced Agile environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support cloud-native applications using AWS, React, TypeScript, Node.js, and serverless technologies.
Build scalable front-end and back-end solutions utilizing modern development practices.
Support API development, cloud modernization initiatives, and application migration efforts.
Define infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps deployment processes.
Participate in product planning and full lifecycle feature ownership.
Collaborate with engineering, product, and design teams to improve performance and user experience.
Develop modern UI interfaces using React Hooks, Functional Components, Component Composition, State Management Patterns, and Render Lifecycle best practices.

Required Skills:
Strong experience with React, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML/CSS, and API development.
Strong AWS Serverless experience including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, EventBridge, and SQS.
Terraform experience.
Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
Serverless Framework experience.
CloudFormation experience.
Experience with CI/CD and DevOps (Git, Jenkins, GitLab, deployment pipelines).
Docker/Containerization experience.
Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture.
Snowflake experience.
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Must currently reside in the Chicago area.

Snowflake Certification.
Redshift or DB2 experience.
Dimensional Modeling experience.
ECS/Fargate experience.
Experience with DynamoDB.
