Job Summary:

• Experience in migrating monolithic codebase into manageable golang micro services
• Good understanding of SQL / noSQL, micro services, event based architecture, and regression testing

• Candidate talked well to current position and has lots of relevant technology relevant experience (I.E Kafka, Cucumber, gRPC, Postgres, No-SQL(Cassandra), Golang, Docker, K8s, Integration Testing & Github CICD)
• Candidate answered all high level questions with in depth answers rather than shallow answers, showing a deeper understanding of what was asked of them. (HTTP/APIs, Concurrency, Microservice architecture, SQL vs No-SQL, Debugging and problem solving, Event Driven Architecture, & other misc questions)
• The candidate has relevant experience/knowledge in go, SQL, event driven architecture and gave good responses to high level design questions. They put an emphasis on building resilient and efficient applications through end to end testing and performance testing, which is in line with our standards. They also impressed during the coding challenge - they were able to explain their approach in detail while they successfully completed
• Candidate was able to clearly communicate their experience and background. They emphasized a core focus on Golang API implementation and maintenance, within a similar tech stack to ours. They had experience with performance testing and automated pipelines, and event driven architecture.
