Role: Sr. Identify Governance & Administration Specialist
On-site, 5x / week ( Woodlawn, Maryland )
seeking a Sr. Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Specialist to join a high-performing team delivering mission-critical identity and access management solutions for a secure, compliant federal environment. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end support for Symantec IGA Suite, including Identity Manager and Identity Portal
- Troubleshoot and resolve identity governance and access management issues to maintain system integrity and performance.
- Maintain and optimize IGA infrastructure and architecture through updates, monitoring, and enhancements.
- Configure, manage, and audit privileged access using Privilege Access Manager (PAM) tools.
- Support directory services infrastructure (LDAP, Active Directory) for authentication and identity management
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards and maintain Approval to Operate (ATO) through ongoing assessments
- Develop and maintain project documentation, conduct acceptance testing, and manage deliverables.
- Enhance user interface and reporting capabilities for identity portals to improve usability and data insights.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of relevant IT professional experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with the Symantec (Broadcom) Identity Governance & Administration Suite of products
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, role-based access control, and compliance requirements in a federal environment
- Experience configuring, customizing, and deploying IGA solutions, including workflows, connectors, and provisioning
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex identity and access management issues
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical topics and interface with the customer consistently
- Strong skills in project documentation, acceptance testing, and deliverables management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience integrating IGA solutions with other identity and access management tools
- Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Java, Groovy) for customization and automation
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor-specific Broadcom certifications
- Good understanding of Federal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (FICAM) initiatives
