Sr. Linux Engineer - 61548

Pay Range - $40 - $45/hr

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position Sr. Linux Engineer to work on a hybrid basis. This role requires 4 days a week on-site and the duration of this contract has the potential to last multiple years.

Requirements:

• Linux Admin/Engineering
  • RHEL, CentOS, Rocky
• Ansible writing playbooks from scratch, not just editing
• Virtualization/VMs
• Not looking for someone who's been doing heavy cloud work. This environment is like 99% on prem, and want someone who's experienced with hat.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement the technical standards for Linux OS running RHEL and CentOS.

Implement capacity planning for Linux REPOs and support tools for Linux, (ie, GitHub, Satellite, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Jenkins)

Work with the architects to evaluate new technologies and perform POCs (Proof of Concept labs) to extend the multi-year roadmap and set overall technical direction for our infrastructure team

Gather, analyze, and drive project requirements, design and implement Linux infrastructure components

Work closely with Level2 team(s) and help define their workflow and runbooks

Publish Build-To and review the As-Built documentation for current and new server-related design deployments
