Job Description Summary

Cushman & Wakefields Sustainability team is looking for an experienced Sr. Manager to support development and implementation of sustainability solutions for our clients across multiple businesses. As a Sr. Manager, you will lead the day-to-day execution of client engagements, client satisfaction and growth for key clients, and guide and develop team members. The Sr. Manager will also collaborate with our real estate partners to develop innovative solutions to accelerate progress toward our clients ambitious ESG goals at the corporate, portfolio, and/or asset levels. While this individual will have broad sustainability knowledge, they will have a passion for developing and delivering decarbonization solutions, with an emphasis on carbon accounting (scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories); science-based and net-zero target setting (SBTi); net-zero strategy and roadmap development; and climate reporting (CDP, TCFD, etc.). Finally, you will also monitor and report key decarbonization trends globally to support the continuous improvement of our sustainability solutions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Managing Clients and Projects

  • Demonstrate expertise relating to our core sustainability services with deep expertise in carbon accounting and reporting
  • Deliver decarbonization solutions including carbon accounting (scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories); science-based and net-zero target setting; net-zero strategy and roadmap development; and sustainability reporting, working collaboratively with stakeholders to successfully implement program and initiatives to reach our objectives.
  • Manage delivery of client work products while managing team members assigned to the project. Proactively track, analyze and report on actual project performance against the plan.
  • Be accountable for budget, operational excellence, project profitability, team performance and engagement within your areas of influence
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with clients and/or business partners

Building Team and Capabilities

  • Effectively collaborate internally to bring our services to existing clients
  • Enhance our capability to sell and deliver sustainability advisory services
  • Manage a team of sustainability analysts and consultants
  • Demonstrate strong people management skills; particularly the ability to support, coach, and celebrate others to advance employee engagement and achieve results
  • Act as a sustainability advisor and support carbon accounting and climate reporting best practices across our business.

Supporting Business Development

  • Identify, evaluate, cultivate, and manage partnerships and relationships with senior clients, external stakeholders and key opinion leaders
  • Foster new business opportunities within existing clients - working with the client to establish extensions, expansions and new opportunities to serve
  • Support new business development campaigns, proposals and pitches
  • Support achievement of teams sales goals

Skills And Experience

  • Bachelors degree in subjects such environmental science, engineering, climate change, sustainability or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Has 10+ years of diverse professional experience in managing large-scale global programs for multinational corporations.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, online software platforms, with the ability to use spreadsheets and data analysis applications.
  • Prior experience tracking, monitoring, and reporting progress towards decarbonization goals in the Salesforce Net Zero Cloud.

Competencies

  • Has deep expertise in calculating GHG emissions accounting and reporting (Scopes 1, 2, and 3) and developing and implementing decarbonization strategies.
  • Expert understanding of relevant standards from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), GHG accounting (The GHG Protocol), and sustainability and ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, SASB, CDP, TCFD, etc.).
  • A proven record in sustainability program execution/delivery under tight timelines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including experience making presentations to clients and their stakeholders conveying complex technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Versatility and ability to multi-task, work independently and collaboratively in a global work environment with diverse skillsets and cultures.
  • Passion for serving clients and delivering a positive client experience.
  • Possess a positive attitude with a flexible and responsive approach to problem solving.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $114,750.00 - $135,000.00
